What is love&strife?
While modern science recognizes a lot more than 4 elements, in ancient Greek philosophy water, air, earth and fire were considered the building units of our universe.
Love and strife were believed to be the 2 cosmic energies that attract or repel the elements to create everything around us.
But Strife is bad, right?
Well not exactly. While strife may sound as something negative, strife is not about destruction. Strife simply embodies the opposing side of love, the one that helps create the –otherwise non existent- balance.
Without strife there would be no meaning in balance. Without love there would be no balance. And yet here they are in an eternal battle, one trying to prevail over the other, making life what it is.

However, various factors beyond gender, “divide” us in different skin categories but what unites us all is that beauty is about feeling confident in your own skin.

For us beauty is a matter of balance. Skin can play a major role in our psychological well-being and the beauty industry has set certain unrealistic standards. We realize that every day is not the same and everything does not work for everyone. We have to listen to our skin and discover what works best for us. And most importantly give it time. Every skin deserves that and we are here to help you through this journey.

Almost everything around us is a chemical. Any ingredient can be safe or dangerous. It is the dose that makes the poison. Luckily there are regulations that define what and how much of something goes into a cosmetic product. At love&strife we believe that nature is an endless source of inspiration and chemistry is the tool to bring the best of nature to your skin.

Sustainability is not a trend, it’s a way of life. We realize that not all of us are ready to immediately adopt a way of life that does not compromise the future of the next generations. Cruelty free and vegan products, the most sustainable packaging possible and accessible prices are the first steps that we take towards sustainability. We accept that we undoubtedly still have a long way to go but we pledge to always try and improve as we grow as a company.
